The Buzz Blogger Template is a theme released in July 2012 by SoraTemplates. It features a 2-column layout with a right sidebar, a fixed-width design, and a gray background.
Key features listed include:
- Two columns (main content + right sidebar) for traditional blog layout.
- Top navigation menu and a social bar for easy access to social sharing.
- Elegant and fixed-width design, making it suitable for niche blogs, personal blogging, or sites that prefer a clean and centered layout.
Future of the Buzz Blogger Template
The Buzz template remains relevant for simple blogging projects, especially for niche/personal blogs that don’t require a heavy magazine-style layout. To ensure the template is future-ready:
- Convert to responsive/fluid layout: Since the original is fixed-width, updating it so that it adapts to modern device screens (mobiles, tablets) will boost usability and SEO.
- Update colour and style variants: The default gray background and minimalist style are fine, but offering a light/dark mode or accent colour options will improve aesthetics and user engagement.
- Introduce lazy loading and improved performance: While the layout is simple, ensuring images and assets load efficiently (especially on mobile) is key for speed and ranking.
- Add structured data/schema markup: Enhance SEO by embedding
Articleschema, breadcrumbs, and author metadata—helping search engines better index and display content. - Modernise social and sharing features: The social bar is a plus; upgrading it with modern share buttons (WhatsApp, Pinterest, Instagram) and optimising for mobile will increase user interaction.
With these updates, Buzz can remain a dependable foundation for blogs that value simplicity, content focus, and readability.
